If you feel you would benefit from coaching, it is advisable to look for a coach who is substantially better than you. However, using a coach who is far higher rated than you (unless they specialise in beginner/intermediate lessons) may mean what they have to teach is beyond your current ability and so less efficient for both teacher and student. Coaches can charge anything from £10-500 per hour.

Consider online video chat coaching from strong chess countries with favourable exchange rates (Croatia, Hungary, Serbia, etc.).
