Game of the Month

Osvaldo Bazan v Robert Fischer

This is a gem from Fischer played against the International Master Osvaldo Bazan at Mar del Plata, Argentina in 1960.  The tactical brilliancies start after Bazan's move 17 Bd7, deflecting Fischer's queen from protecting the d5 square and thereby enabling a pawn fork.  Fischer finds a string of best moves after this, even though his uncastled king appears to be scarily vulnerable in the centre.
